Wallpaper hung straight, matched and flat

From a single feature wall to a full room in designer paper, good wallpapering is precision work — pattern repeats matched, seams invisible, not a bubble in sight.

Wallpaper is back, and the papers people choose now — bold florals, geometric repeats, deep colours — are exactly the ones that show every shortcut. A pattern drifting out of true over a chimney breast, seams that catch the light, edges lifting at the ceiling line: that's what DIY and rushed trade work look like six months in.

We strip old paper properly, make the wall good (lining where it's needed), and hang to a plumb line with the pattern centred where your eye lands first. Delicate and wide-format papers get handled with the right paste and the right patience.

What we take on

  • Feature walls — chimney breasts, bedheads and alcoves
  • Full rooms, including stairwells and high walls
  • Designer and premium papers, murals and wide-format prints
  • Pattern matching across complex repeats
  • Old paper stripping and wall preparation, including lining paper
  • Paint-and-paper combinations — woodwork and ceilings finished to match

Common questions

More on the contact page — or just ask.

Should I buy the paper or do you supply it?

Either works. Most customers choose their paper and we tell them exactly how many rolls to order — including spare for pattern matching. We're happy to recommend ranges and check a paper's batch numbers before anything gets cut.

My walls aren't perfect — will paper cover it?

Paper hides hairline imperfections better than paint, but it won't bridge bad walls. Where a wall needs it, we'll line it first — it's a modest extra cost that makes the finish, especially with thinner designer papers.

Can you remove old woodchip or painted-over paper?

Yes. It's slow, messy work that we do with steamers and scrapers rather than shortcuts, and we'll price it honestly. Walls usually need making good afterwards, which gets included in the quote.
